The History of AGNA Group

Choice and diversity is what was offered to Albanians with the fall of communism, and a few individuals have managed to turn these elements into the core of their business. Bring together a manufacturer, a bottler, a distributor, an investor in energy, construction, hospitality, and a real estate developer, and you have AGNA Group.

The first company, Anonime Kakavi (now Agna sh.a), was established in 1991 as the exclusive importer and distributor of well-known brands in the food category, such as Nestle, Misko, Barilla, Chipita, Lay’s, Heinz, Marbo, among others; in the detergent and personal care category, including Beohemija and Mega; as well as in the tobacco category for the Karelia tobacco company.

Agna Sh.a also operates in the fields of energy investments, hospitality, construction, and real estate both within Albania and abroad. Over the years, the company has built a substantial investment portfolio.

ALFA Sh.a was established in 1992 as the official distributor of Amstel and PepsiCo. In 1997, Alfa sh.a built a modern factory in the village of Glina, which enabled the expansion of its operations with the production of Glina water and various other beverages. This success led Alfa sh.a to achieve the status of official Bottler and Distributor of Pepsi, Ivi, 7up, and Lipton for the Albanian territory in 1999, and for Kosovo in 2019.

ALBARTEX Sh.p.k became part of Agna Group in 2001. The company operates in the outdoor advertising sector, where it has captured the largest share of the market over the years.

In 2003, the ONTIME CONCEPT agency was founded. This agency provides a comprehensive range of services, ranging from event organization, promotions, and market research to media relations, thereby fully meeting the complex needs of businesses operating in Albania.

In today's interdependent world, business can help consolidate a country's economic profile by building bridges for foreign investments, and AGNA Group certainly accomplishes this.
